Protocol Fee Competition
Daily fees paid by transactions matching each protocol detector. The detectors can match the same transaction, so these are not parts of one total
Short ranges plot one point per block, about one every ten minutes. Longer ranges plot one point per day, computed from every block in that day. How it is computed depends on the chart: some average, some total the day up, some are a ratio of the day's sums, and each chart says which. Either way a brief spike inside a day is smoothed away.

About this metric
Definition
Which kind of data-carrying transaction was paying more into the fee market at a given time. Two detectors side by side, because a transaction can match both and is then counted by both.
How it is measured
Fees paid by the transactions each detector matched, drawn as two totals beside the block's whole fee take rather than as parts of it. A transaction carrying both an inscription and a Runes payload is credited to both, so the two cannot be added: more than 125,000 blocks have both detectors firing and in 1,326 of them the sum exceeds the block's entire fee take. Which detector is larger in a period is a fact about the detectors, not about what drove the fee market.
