P2PKH Sunset Tracker
Decline of legacy P2PKH address usage over time. Horizontal lines mark 10% and 5% thresholds
Short ranges plot one point per block, about one every ten minutes. Longer ranges plot one point per day, computed from every block in that day. How it is computed depends on the chart: some average, some total the day up, some are a ratio of the day's sums, and each chart says which. Either way a brief spike inside a day is smoothed away.

About this metric
Definition
The decline of the original Bitcoin address format. P2PKH is the '1...' address every wallet used before SegWit, and its share of outputs has been falling for years, and Taproot has now passed it: both sit near 7% of outputs, moving in opposite directions. The reference lines at 10% and 5% are markers for reading the trend, not protocol thresholds.
How it is measured
P2PKH outputs as a share of the eight classified output types, with a 90-day moving average at daily resolution only. The horizontal lines at 10% and 5% are reference marks chosen for this chart, not protocol thresholds. A falling share means other output types grew faster; it does not follow that any particular wallet or user moved.
