Halving Era Comparison
Four block metrics compared across the halving eras present in the selected range, each normalised to its own highest era
Short ranges plot one point per block, about one every ten minutes. Longer ranges plot one point per day, computed from every block in that day. How it is computed depends on the chart: some average, some total the day up, some are a ratio of the day's sums, and each chart says which. Either way a brief spike inside a day is smoothed away.

About this metric
Definition
Four things about an average block, compared across the subsidy eras. Every 210,000 blocks the subsidy halves, splitting the chain into periods of roughly four years, and this asks how a block in one period differs from a block in another. Each metric is scaled to its own highest era, so the bars show relative change rather than quantities.
How it is measured
Each group on the x axis is one metric, with a bar per halving era, so the comparison runs across eras within a metric rather than across metrics within an era. Every metric is divided by its own highest era, which is why something always reads 100 and why the plotted numbers are an index rather than a quantity. Only eras present in the selected range appear. Hover for the underlying values; two of the four are coinbase-derived estimates rather than measured.
